Luxor Corporation Pty Ltd v Brimbank CC (Costs) [2025] VCAT 1094 (11 December 2025) The applicant having been successful in a previous case concerning a dispute over the permitted number of patrons and opening hours of a reception venue, sought costs from the defending parties. In this instance they were unsuccessful save for the reimbursement of the application fee.

Cellmore Real Estate Pty Ltd v Funston (Ruling) [2025] VCC 1842 (12 December 2025)This case also concerned a claim for costs by the applicant following a successful case in the pursuit of advertising costs owed. A substantial proportion costs were awarded to the applicant in this case.

Tan v Wee [2025] VSCA 331 (17 December 2025) This was a long running case brought by a tenant against a landlord disputing a claim for payment of rent arrears for a residential property on a point of law. In this case the tenant lost and costs were also awarded against them.
